sessions & treatment

we focus on what's important to you.

Our first step is to develop a shared understanding of your concerns and what might have contributed to them. In your first session, we will begin to understand what's been happening for you, explore your history, determine your strengths and supports, and clarify your goals for therapy.

We then discuss options and develop a plan moving forward. By providing you with practical tools, coping skills, and a different perspective we will work together to create long-term, positive change so you can become the best version of yourself.

What to bring -
Just yourself! You will have already completed the following online:
   •  Consent form
• Account details for rebates and payment
• Emailed your Mental Health Treatment Plan/Eating Disorder Plan and/or GP referral.

What to expect -
• Some admin. Jaci will talk you through consent and confidentiality.
• Checking to see if we're a good fit. It's important to take time to see if we're a good match. This involves asking plenty of questions, so feel free to come with your own ones too.
• Some recommendations. Jaci may discuss how often to have appointments, referrals, therapies, or what to expect in your next session.
• Homework. You might go away with something to do in between sessions. Research shows you're more likely to benefit from therapy if you're given something to work on!

After your session -
Take a breather. If you can, take a moment to reflect and do something nice for yourself.
